Spring is around the corner! Enrollment is already underway for Bamboleo Amiguitos (for 2-4 year olds), Bamboleo Amigos (for 4-6 year olds), and Amiguitos Hispanohablantes: Tiempo en familia (2-6 years). We have an exciting couple of sessions coming up:
Spring I: Storytime takes us to Cuba, where we'll hear three heart-warming tales of rainy adventures with everything from floating barquitos de papel (little paper boats) to releasing palomas (pigeons) in the evenings. We'll hear how everyone pitches in to help little Tito have a new Guayabera (a typical shirt from Cuba and many other countries of Latin-America). In the story of little Celia, the musical rhythms of her neighborhood are heard everywhere, even in the raindrops--plic plic ploc, plic ploc--we won't be surprised if the kids pick up the infectious "son clave" (rhymic pattern of Afro-Cuban music) from her story.
Movement time will bring a little baseball into the mix--afterall, it is a
favorite Cuban past-time and the current seasonal sport for our little ones, as well!
Spring II: Mexico, Mexico, Mexico! Our stories will take us to Mexico to finish off the school year with explorations of all things colorful: Rainbows, insects, flowers, and much more. We'll conclude the season by celebrating everyone's birthday with a big fiesta (and sneak in the months of the year doing so!).
We have another amazing audio cd for everyone to take home. Our music/story CDs help to continue the fun after class while reinforcing
conversational phrases, enriching vocabulary, and offering more opportunities for immersion.
Finally, our Amiguitos class on Saturday mornings in Heartwell Park will have more room! Priscilla will be teaching two back-to-back classes to accommodate more people, while reducing the class total to 12.
